John Donaldson
I teach Philosophy at the University of Glasgow.
My main research interests are in the philosophy of mind and cognitive science, particularly the metaphysics of mind: the problem of mental causation, the mind-body problem, and the prospects for materialist accounts of mental phenomena.
I also take an interest in reductive versus non-reductive projects in science more generally, the development of the philosophy of mind in the twentieth century, the philosophy of art, and David Hume.
